Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the TaskForge application and website.

By accessing or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If You disagree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, You may not access the Service.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

• Application refers to TaskForge, the software program provided by the Company.
• Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in these Terms) refers to TaskForge, located in Ontario, Canada.
• Country refers to: Ontario, Canada.
• Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a computer, a cellphone, or a digital tablet.
• Service refers to the Application and the Website.
• Third-Party Service means any services or content provided by a third party that may be displayed, included, or made available by the Service.
• Website refers to TaskForge, accessible from taskforge.md.
• You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Acknowledgment

These are the Terms and Conditions governing the use of this Service and the agreement that operates between You and the Company. These Terms and Conditions set out the rights and obligations of all users regarding the use of the Service.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If You disagree with any part of these Terms and Conditions then You may not access the Service.

Your access to and use of the Service is also conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with the Privacy Policy of the Company. Our Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your personal information when You use the Service. Please read Our Privacy Policy carefully before using Our Service.

Subscriptions and Purchases

TaskForge offers both free and premium tiers. The free tier provides core task management functionality at no cost. Premium features are available through either a one-time lifetime purchase or a monthly subscription.

Free Trial

Premium features include an automatic one-week free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected payment plan will begin.

Pricing

Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page and within the application. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Any price changes will apply to new purchases or subscription renewals only.

Payment Processing

Payments for web purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who acts as the merchant of record. By making a purchase through Paddle, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. For in-app purchases, payments are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store, and their respective terms apply.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. For subscriptions purchased through Paddle, you can manage your subscription through the Paddle customer portal. For in-app subscriptions, cancellation is managed through your device's app store settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Your Data and Content

TaskForge is designed to work with your local data. Your tasks, notes, and vault content remain stored locally on your device and within your Obsidian vault. The Company does not store, access, or transmit your vault content to external servers.

You retain all rights to your content. The Company claims no ownership over any tasks, notes, or other content you create or manage using the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service:

• In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• To transmit any material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
• To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
• To reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application, except where permitted by applicable law.
• To redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Application without prior written consent from the Company.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of the Company. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

The Company's trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of the Company.

Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by the Company.

The Company has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that the Company shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of any such content, goods, or services available through any such websites or services.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend Your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if You breach these Terms and Conditions.

Upon termination, Your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Since TaskForge operates with local data, your existing vault content and tasks will remain accessible through Obsidian independently of the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, loss of data, or other intangible losses, resulting from the use or the inability to use the Service.

The Company's total liability to You for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount You paid to the Company during the twelve months prior to the claim.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided to You "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, the Company expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, with respect to the Service.

Without limiting the foregoing, the Company provides no warranty or undertaking that the Service will meet Your requirements, achieve any intended results, be compatible with any other software, operate without interruption, or be error free.

Governing Law

The laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern these Terms and Your use of the Service. Your use of the Service may also be subject to other local, provincial, national, or international laws.

Disputes Resolution

If You have any concern or dispute about the Service, You agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the Company.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, We will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at Our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use Our Service after those revisions become effective, You agree to be bound by the revised terms. If You do not agree to the new terms, in whole or in part, please stop using the Service.
