Choose how ambiguous note links resolve

Shipped in version 3.0.0

A [[wikilink]] names a note by title, not by its full path. Most of the time that's unambiguous: you have one note called "Budget," you link to [[Budget]], tapping it opens that note. Problems start once you have two notes with the same name in different folders, say Finance/Budget.md and Archive/Budget.md. Tapping [[Budget]] has to pick one.

The default: shortest path

By default, TaskForge opens whichever matching note has the shortest vault-relative path. This matches how Obsidian resolves the same ambiguity, so if you're moving between the two apps or syncing the same vault, a link opens the same note either way. Nothing changes for existing vaults.

Turning it off

Settings → Notes has a new Shortest path for ambiguous links toggle. Turn it off and the next time a link matches more than one note, TaskForge shows a list of every match by its full path so you can pick the right one, instead of guessing on your behalf.

This only matters when a link is genuinely ambiguous. A link that matches exactly one note resolves the same way regardless of the setting.
